2018 Review of JAAXY Keyword Research Tool

December 16, 2017 by Jude 10 Comments

When it comes to building websites that attract traffic, a keyword research tool is an absolute asset. What it does is to find the most favourable keywords for your blog posts. Today, we review the Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool.

Jaaxy is a keyword research tool that comes with a host of features at very affordable pricing. The best part…you can even use it for FREE when you are a premium member of Wealthy Affiliate, which is an online course cum comprehensive platform for building successful internet businesses. For fear of diluting this review and confusing everyone, I have a separate review for Wealthy Affiliate and a link is provided at the bottom of this article. I will just talk about Jaaxy here. First of all, there is no doubt I love using Jaaxy. For its pricing, it is in my opinion, the best keyword research tool but let me also share with you what features I use most often for my websites, the insights you can derive from Jaaxy and a few successful case studies.

This is an overview of what I will cover in this article.

JAAXY – What It Does

Jaaxy is a keyword research tool. When you are creating your blog articles for your niche, you need to know which keywords the internet community are searching for. Then you create and publish content related to those keywords because there is a demand.

Jaaxy allows you to understand the potential traffic the particular keyword will get. The more traffic, the better the keyword is.

Is that right?

Well, traffic is without a doubt the first thing you should look at. However, there are also other factors and one of them is the number of competing websites. In Jaaxy, it is known as QSR and refers to the number of competing websites ranked in Google for the same keyword. For example, let’s say you want to write a review for Jaaxy and thus you can do a keyword search for “Jaaxy”. As you can see from the stats pulled up, the traffic is high which is good and we also know there are currently 98 potential competitors against your review article.

Thus, if you want to rank for this keyword “Jaaxy”, you will have to bear in mind that you have to compete against these 98 websites and try to rank for page 1 of Google search results. Can this be done? Of course and all it takes is great content and a little bit of time.

TOP Features

The number one feature I used in Jaaxy is undoubtedly the keyword research. This gets the ball rolling for any keyword I am trying to rank for.

Jaaxy has a very user-friendly interface and all you need to do is to key in your keyword and hit “enter”. The results come out in a jiffy and with these details, there are a few things you can do. First off, the KQI indicates the quality of your chosen keyword. At a glance, it shows you whether this is a GREAT, NORMAL or POOR keyword. You should always aim for GREAT to maximise your results. Jaaxy also provides a column known as Domains. This shows you the domain suffix you can choose if you were to create a new domain named after the keyword. For example, if you want to create a website with the domain name “myjaaxyreview”, you can have it as myjaaxyreview.com, myjaaxyreview.net or myjaaxyreview.org. This is a very helpful tool because it allows you to identify quickly which domain suffixes are available. Ideally, the .com suffix is the most recognisable and thus you want to go for that as your first choice.

Top Feature - Jaaxy

The second feature I use a lot is the Alphabet Soup. The alphabet soup helps to pull out a list of related keywords and is very helpful when you need to churn out ideas for blog articles around the same niche. Again, let’s take a closer look at how this works. With the alphabet soup feature, you can run through all related keywords. Jaaxy will take you through from “a” to “z” and this gives any blogger a strong list of content ideas to write. I find this feature very helpful but caution has to be taken against grammatically incorrect/incomplete keywords such as “my review of jaaxy a keyword”. This keyword makes no sense and thus you can’t really use it for your article. This is one area which I hope Jaaxy can improve on. That is, to automatically remove all grammatically incorrect keywords.

Site Rank

Now that you have your website and articles up and running, wouldn’t you like to know where they rank? For ranking purpose, this is how Jaaxy works.

First of all, you have to enter the keyword your article is ranking for. Let me make sense of this sentence because it puzzled me greatly when I first started doing this. When we create and publish an article, we should have in mind a certain keyword this article is connected to. For example, if I am writing a review for the Bose QC25 headphones, I may have in mind that anytime someone searches for the keyword “noise cancelling headphones”, I want my website to appear in their search results and preferably on page 1, among the first five positions.

Jaaxy’s site rank feature allows you to check immediately when your article is ranking for that keyword. You do this by entering the “keyword” and your website’s URL. Here’s an example of me trying to rank for the keyword “Jaaxy The Ultimate Keyword Research Tool”. From my earlier keyword research, I knew this was a good keyword with strong traffic and thus I did a review of Jaaxy sometime back in Sep 2017. With time, it climbed up the ranks and emerged on Google page 1, and is taking the 6th position as of this writing. Not bad for a start. As rankings fluctuate, you can also set trackers on keywords within Jaaxy. This allows you to monitor your articles’ rankings over time.

If your website is new, you may not use this feature just yet but with a bit of time and content published, you will appreciate the convenience and MOTIVATION Site Rank provides you. Nothing is as invigorating as seeing your site ranking go up.

Is Jaaxy worth the money (and time)?

These are the 4 pricings for Jaaxy.

Jaaxy Starter is a free tool but since it is limited to 30 keyword searches, it is more of an appetizer and you can try it out to test out its usability. Then we have the Jaaxy Lite which I say is the best combo deal if you are with Wealthy Affiliate. Basically, you can use it for unlimited searches and it is fully integrated into Wealthy Affiliate.  For those who want a bit more juice (power), the Jaaxy PRO (which I am using) offers advanced features that are highly useful for your website. For the Jaaxy Enterprise, I see it as a beefed-up version of the PRO and I would recommend it if you have a team of bloggers working on your website(s). Then, it makes more economic sense to invest in this top tier package.

To answer this question, I would say Jaaxy is a tool that is worth investing even if you are in a bootstrapping mode. This is because getting the right keyword for your content is crucial and makes a world of difference for your site rankings. When your site rank goes up, everything will fall into place. As opposed to aesthetics, Jaaxy is the engine that powers what’s on the front.

There are other tools on the market. A good competitor is SEMrush but at $99.95/month for its most basic premium plan, it is a hefty investment.

Case Studies

Nothing is more convincing than real-life examples. I am a user of Jaaxy since Sep 2017 and these are some of my results that came up strong. The following is a review I did for Wealthy Affiliate. Knowing that scams are all over the internet (I myself was a victim of such in the past), I wrote a review to explain what Wealthy Affiliate is. I titled it “Is Wealthy Affiliate a Real Deal” and it has since climbed to the number 2 position on Google which has 87% of the worldwide desktop search engine market share.

Case study 2 is another review I did for Chris Farrell Membership. This is one of the respectable and legit training course for internet marketing and it currently ranks 11th place on Google and top spots for Bing and Yahoo.

Case study 3 is a review cum tutorial I did for the SiteBuilder tool found in Wealthy Affiliate. This article claims the top spot on Google and Yahoo.

I hope these case studies give you a glimpse of what’s so powerful about Jaaxy. I am not a content guru nor am I skilled in copywriting. The only thing I did was to research potential keywords (high traffic and preferably low competition) and create content based on these keywords. With Jaaxy as my research tool, my time becomes well-spent and I am able to deliver content that has a strong chance of ranking high up.

Before and Now

Wealthy Affiliate and Jaaxy

Jaaxy has always existed as a standalone tool though it’s been highly recommended by the course at Wealthy Affiliate.

If I were to liken their relationship to that of a couple in love previously, I am happy to share that Jaaxy and Wealthy Affiliate are happily married from Dec 2017. The integration of Jaaxy into Wealthy Affiliate is a long-awaited moment. Users of Jaaxy including myself have no problems manually opening a new browser tab for Jaaxy but those days are over as from within Wealthy Affiliate, you can start Jaaxy on a new tab automatically and by connecting Jaaxy to your Wealthy Affiliate account (a one time exercise only), you don’t have to log in twice every time. This is everything under one roof operating at its best. It not only enhances the user experience but also improves the efficiency so much more.

Jaaxy is now integrated into Wealthy Affiliate

It is so worth it and the best thing is that it is free to try.

I actually wonder when I can target keywords which have higher QSR than 50. And can tracking position feature of Jaaxy help me give an idea about it?

      Hi Furkan,

The QSR is a gauge and my suggestion is to view it together with other indicators such as traffic volume. For example, if there is a very strong flow of traffic for the keyword, it is okay to go with QSR of 50 or more. For me, I look at the traffic and if it is high enough (>100) and has a potential strong demand, I will still give it a shot. For example, if you Jaaxy the keyword “bitcoin mining”, you see that it has a QSR of 99 but the traffic is over 7000+! This tells me that there is a strong interest for this keyword and by providing quality content, it won’t be that hard to rank highly for it despite the competitors.

Hey Jude, as a WA member I use Jaaxy as well. This is a great tool and has helped me immensely. Thanks for the informative article. Like Colleen, I wasn’t familiar with the alphabet soup feature.

Thank you Colleen. Glad you find this article helpful. Jaaxy is a great tool for keyword research. I used it prior to every article to finetune and it is just amazing how well it turns out. Let me know if you have further questions about its other features as my review wasn’t able to cover 100% of everything.
